Govinda Naam Mera Review:- People get very jealous when a review of a new film is shared on social media. The taunts are about how many fun critics have when they get a chance to see a film before its release. But, watching almost every movie and web series before its release is no less than a curse. Whether the film is good or bad, it has to be seen. And, if the film is like ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, even if you don’t want to, you have to watch it after gathering courage two or three times. Similarly, the year 2022 has been very heavy for Dharma Productions. This film has completed the right work.
Dharma’s second OTT film of the year
Except for Dharma Productions’ only film ‘Brahmastra’, the company’s mega-budget film ‘Liger’ this year was a super flop. ‘Jug Jug Jio’ somehow managed to recover its cost and Karan Johar’s new partner company Viacom 18 could not muster the courage to release the film ‘Gehraiyaan’ despite a superstar like Deepika Padukone. ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is Dharma Productions’ second film of the year which could not find a distributor and had to release directly on OTT.
‘Lele’ has to give the film
On the other hand, OTT Disney + Hotstar has vowed these days, to test the patience of its customers completely. Two years ago, the series of garbage films started with the film ‘Lakshmi’ and ‘Kathputli’ has reached ‘Govinda Naam Mera’. ‘A Thursday’, ‘Kaun Praveen Tambe’, ‘Goodluck Jerry’, ‘Bubli Bouncer’ and ‘Freddy’ are the rest of the Hindi films released on this OTT this year. Even before the start of the film, Shashank has told in the disclaimer that the story is fictional, so it is not right to pay attention to the similarity of this story with the personal lives of famous fight master Shetty of the Hindi film industry. The tussle between the two sons is over a bungalow whose market value is Rs 150 crore. Govinda’s mother is a wonderful gimmick. She is engaged in garnering sympathy by acting handicapped and the son is garnering love with his partner. Then a murder appears to happen. There is a deal for the bungalow. In between, there are music videos, drugs, and two or three songs by Faltu.
Bad acting competition
The film ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is the first film released after the marriage of Vicky Kaushal. His wife Katrina Kaif has heard the truth of her quota from the audience in ‘Phone Bhoot’ after marriage. Now it is the turn of Vicky Kaushal. Leaving ‘Uri’ and ‘Raazi’, there is nothing special in Vicky’s career to count as a solo hero. ‘Sardar Udham’ went OTT and is now another film. The worst acting is of Vicky Kaushal in the film ‘Govinda Naam Mera’. Neither he looks monotonous with his wife Bhumi Pednekar nor with his girlfriend Kiara Advani.
Kiara’s labyrinth of fate
Bhumi Pednekar seems to have considered her career as two to four years and has decided to strengthen her bank balance by doing as many films as possible during this time. He is yet to understand the difference between aloofness and bad acting. Kiara Advani is such a cow for Dharma Productions whoever wants to tie her to her peg. Home movie. If the director of the house is an A-lister face, then Kiara Advani is not yet such a big star that she cannot say no to Karan Johar. The real pot of the film ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, made in the light of the light, explodes on the viewer. There is so much confusion about the story that from a few months ago, then a few days ago to a few months ago, the multiplication goes on. Charu Shree Roy’s editing is so bad that Vicky’s leg is seen doing the same movement twice in the cutting of the shot of Vicky Kaushal sitting on the chair in the police station standing up and immediately after that going to the lockup.
Dada Kondke style song
The rest of the technical team of the film ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is also MashaAllah. As much as Vidushi Tiwari does the cinematography of the songs, neither she nor her lighting team is able to show that much cleverness in the rest of the scenes. Ranbir Kapoor also dances in one song and Vicky Kaushal is seen making a music video of a smuggler’s son in another song, the lyrics of which leave you holding your head. It seems that Dada Kondke’s soul has left after breakfast in Dharma Productions. The song has been written by the same Kumar, on whose song Deepika Padukone, who danced wearing saffron, has created a ruckus these days. Although the film ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is such that even if there is a ruckus over any of its songs, watching the film is no less than a problem.
