Famous filmmaker K Vishwanath has passed away. He was 93 and had health issues that made it difficult for him to live much longer. He died late night in a private hospital.
K Vishwanath was very popular in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. He was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2016, the highest honor in Indian cinema.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao also commented on Vishwanath’s death, noting that he was an important figure in the Indian film industry. He also mourned the loss of such an influential figure in Telugu culture.
Actor Chiranjeevi tweeted and wrote- “I am in shock. The passing of K Vishwanath is an irreparable loss to Indian/Telugu cinema and to me personally. The great filmmaker who gave many great films will always be alive (in memory). om Shanti.”

In 1951, K Vishwanath became an assistant director on the Telugu-Tamil film ‘Pathal Bhairavi’. In 1965, he directed his first film, Atma Govaram, which won the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film of the year.
Vishwanath’s most famous film is ‘Shankarabharanam’, which is about the neglect of traditional Indian music under the growing influence of Western music.

Starting his career as a ‘sound artist’, Vishwanath directed hit films lik ‘Shankarabharanam’, ‘Sagar Sangamam’, ‘Swathi Mutyam’, ‘Saptapadi’, ‘Kaamchor’, ‘Sanjog’ and ‘Jaag Utha Insaan’. , who also won many awards to his name.
