Lok Sabha Result 2024: RSS and BJP have been very close. It is believed that RSS has a role in bringing BJP’s achievements to the public and also in training the workers. But this time in the Lok Sabha elections, both remained far away. Rather, it can be said that BJP did not ask for the support of the RSS. RSS pracharaks and volunteers spread across the country and engaged in social and contact work among the common people were seen completely inactive during the election process.
The target of crossing 400 was not achieved
Earlier in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, such inactivity of RSS(Lok Sabha Result 2024) volunteers was seen. BJP had to be out of power despite the slogan of India Shining. According to a senior RSS official, there is no resentment among the volunteers towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP, but this time BJP decided to achieve the target of crossing 400 without the support of the Sangh.
Out of the election process(Lok Sabha Result 2024)
Earlier in 2014 and 2019, RSS had put in all its strength to make BJP(Lok Sabha Result 2024) candidates win. Earlier in 2004, RSS had decided to stay out of the election process due to opposition to various decisions of Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. According to highly placed sources, the opinion of the Sangh was not taken in inducting leaders from other parties into BJP and giving them tickets.
Active role in making BJP win
Not only this, more than 100 people who came from other parties were also given tickets. It was not easy to coordinate with such leaders and active volunteers in the area. Although BJP has written a success story by bringing Sarbananda Sonowal((Lok Sabha Result 2024)) from Assam Gana Parishad and Himanta Biswa Sarma from Congress, but before bringing these leaders to Assam, the opinion of the Sangh was also taken and the Sangh’s preachers and volunteers working there for decades played an active role in making BJP win under their leadership, but gradually BJP completely stopped taking advice from the Sangh.

Here, the leaders from other parties were presented by BJP(Lok Sabha Result 2024) as its main spokespersons, who are seen as the face of the party on channels. Volunteers were not able to connect with these spokespersons. According to a senior official, being a social organization, RSS campaigners held meetings with intellectuals in their respective areas before the elections, but did not directly give the message to vote for the BJP. Instead, they were asked to vote for the good candidates of their area.
