ICC World Cup 2023: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the new schedule for the ODI World Cup 2023. The dates of 9 matches have been changed in the updated schedule. The India-Pakistan match will now be played in Ahmedabad on October 14. At the same time, the Pakistan-England match to be held in Kolkata on 12 November will now be held on 11 November.

Team India was supposed to play its last match in the group stage against the Netherlands on 11 November, but the match will now be held in Bengaluru on 12 November.
Pakistan’s 3, India’s 2 matches rescheduled
9 matches have been rescheduled in the World Cup, but the venue of any match has not been changed. The England-Bangladesh and Sri Lanka-Pakistan matches also had to be rescheduled due to the rescheduling of the India-Pakistan match. Now on October 10, there will be England-Bangladesh and Pakistan-Sri Lanka matches. The big match between Australia and South Africa will be played in Lucknow on October 12 instead of October 13.
In the updated schedule, along with Pakistan, the dates of 3-3 matches of Bangladesh and England have also been changed. 3 matches had to be rescheduled between 11 and 12 November
The issue of rescheduling the match started two weeks ago when the Ahmedabad police said that they may face difficulties in providing security for the match between India and Pakistan as the Hindu festival of Navratri also starts on October 15, due to which Police will have to do security planning at two places simultaneously. Due to security, the match between India and Pakistan has now been rescheduled to 14 October. In order to manage this, 5 more matches had to be rescheduled between 10 and 15 October.
After Ahmedabad, the Kolkata Police said last week that they may face security problems for the Pakistan-England match on October 12 due to the Kalipuja festival. Due to which the Pakistan-England match will now be played in Kolkata on October 11. On the other hand, on October 12, the match between India and Netherlands will now be played in Bengaluru, which was earlier to be played on November 11. ICC World Cup 2023.
World Cup will be from October 5
India will have ODI World for 46 days in October-November, in which 48 matches will be played. The first match will be held on October 5 in Ahmedabad between the winner and runner-up of the previous World Cup, England, and New Zealand. There will be 45 matches of the group stage till 12th November. The 2 semi-finals will be played on 15 and 16 November and the final will be played in Ahmedabad on 19 November.
