The actor’s own victory was another significant one for the movie. For his role in the biopic film “Oppenheimer,” Hollywood actor Cillian Murphy won the Golden Globe for Best Male Actor—Motion Picture—Drama in 2024.

And it all began when Robert Downey’s performance in “Oppenheimer” earned him the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Male Actor in a Motion Picture.

The World War II biopic centres on Oppenheimer, dubbed the “Father of the Atomic Bomb,” who pushed the button to test the bomb despite knowing that doing so would ignite the atmosphere and wipe out civilization.
Cillian Murphy plays “Oppenheimer,” and this is the first time he’s landed the lead in a Christopher Nolan production. Murphy has been a constant in many of Nolan’s films, having previously starred in “Inception,” “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Dunkirk(Golden Globes Awards 2024).”
