Recently, we have made significant commitments to expand our presence in the state of Gujarat. Sanand is becoming the technology home for all our electric vehicles. We expanded our presence in Sanand with additional capacity so that we can meet the growing demands for electric vehicles. We are about to start construction of a massive Gigafactory for 20 GW Lithium-ion batteries in Sanand, construction of this project should start in the next few months.

It was first conceptualised in 2003 under (then) chief minister Narendra Modi. The first edition of the Summit was held during the Navratri festival with more than a 1000 delegates and dignitaries spanning 45 countries.
