Instead, India A lost both wickets in the first two deliveries of the Super Over, with Jitesh Sharma and Ashutosh Sharma falling in quick succession to Bangladesh’s Ripon Mondol. Watching the collapse helplessly, Suryavanshi appeared shattered by the decision and the result.

Earlier in the chase, India A required just 31 runs off the last three overs with wickets still in hand. However, excellent death bowling from Bangladesh and poor finishing by the Indian middle and lower order turned the game on its head.
