Iyer hit the longest six of the tournament against Mahesh Tikshana in 41 overs of the innings. Shreyas hit a 106-meter-long six on the front side. Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika, who was sitting in the stands, was completely shocked by Iyer’s six and she narrowly escaped getting injured.

Kohli-Gill missed a century

Before Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill created a lot of noise with the bat. After Rohit Sharma was dismissed cheaply, Kohli and Gill made a brilliant partnership of 189 runs for the second wicket. Gill played a quick inning of 92 runs, while Kohli was out after scoring 88 runs. However, both the batsmen missed their century.

Rohit Sharma could not show anything special with the bat against Sri Lanka. Hitman started his innings with a strong four, but on the very next ball, Dilshan Madhushanka clean-bowled Hitman and showed him the way to the pavilion. Rohit got all four wickets in front of Madhushanka’s excellent ball and was out after scoring only 4 runs.
