Team India defeated Afghanistan, famous for upsets, in a one-sided manner in the match played in Barbados on Thursday. India won this match by 47 runs. Batting first, Team India scored 181 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs based on Suryakumar Yadav’s half-century and Hardik Pandya’s excellent innings. Afghanistan’s team collapsed for 134 runs after playing the full 20 overs.

I think there’s a lot of hard work, there are a lot of processes and routines involved in it. I am clear in my mind what I want to do. I don’t mind giving this Player(IND vs AFG T20 WORLD CUP 2024) of the Match to a bowler. First time it’s going to a batter (from India in this tournament), but I don’t mind. I think you just need to know your game plan and play accordingly. I still remember when Hardik came into the bat, I told him to let’s bat with the same intent. Let’s keep pressing the pedal and keep pushing, in the end very happy with a score of 180.
Arshdeep missed a hat-trick
Arshdeep Singh gave the eighth blow to Afghanistan by getting Afghanistan(IND vs AFG T20 WORLD CUP 2024) captain Rashid Khan caught by Jadeja. This wicket fell on the fourth ball of the 18th over. On the next ball, Arshdeep got Naveen Ul Haq caught by Pant and brought India closer to victory. Arshdeep missed a hat-trick on the next ball.
