Hyderabad won by 25 runs High-scoring match: Hyderabad won the highest-scoring match in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by 25 runs. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and chose bowling at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. SRH scored 287 runs losing 3 wickets in 20 overs. RCB also scored 262 runs losing 7 wickets in the second innings but lost the match.

A total of 549 runs were scored in the match, which is the highest in T-20 history. Earlier, 523 runs were scored in the match between SRH and MI. SRH made the highest score of IPL, the team broke its own 19 day old record. On March 27, the team scored 277 runs against MI.

Travis Head from SRH scored a century on 39 balls, he scored 102 runs on 41 balls. Heinrich Klaasen scored 67 runs and Abdul Samad scored 37 runs. Lockie Ferguson took 2 wickets.

Dinesh Karthik from RCB scored 83 runs on 35 balls. Faf du Plessis contributed 62 runs and Virat Kohli contributed 42 runs. Captain Pat Cummins took 3 wickets and Mayank Markande took 3 wickets from SRH.

Sunrisers Hyderabad scored the highest score in IPL history. SRH had put 277 runs on the score board against Mumbai Indians on March 27. Just after 19 days, Hyderabad batsmen have shattered their own record.

Not only IPL, but Sunrisers Hyderabad has also scored the second highest score in T20 cricket. Hyderabad scored 287 runs on the score board after losing 3 wickets in 20 overs. SRH has left behind the score of 278 made by Afghanistan in the year 2019. Nepal team has scored the highest score in T-20. In the year 2023, Nepal had scored 314 runs losing 3 wickets.

Head created history

Travis Head appeared to be in excellent form from the start and wreaked havoc with the bat. Playing explosively, Head completed his half-century in just 20 balls. After scoring fifty, the Hyderabad batsman showed his true attitude and completed his century in just 39 balls. Head has also become the batsman to score the fastest century for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has shattered David Warner’s record. Warner scored a century in 43 balls against KKR in 2017.

Fourth fastest century of IPL

Travis Head has shattered Adam Gilchrist’s record by scoring a century in just 39 balls. Head has become the fourth batsman to score the fastest century in IPL. Gilchrist scored a century in 42 balls in 2008. The record for scoring the fastest century in the Indian Premier League is in the name of Chris Gayle, who scored a century in just 30 balls in 2013.

The second highest score from boundary

Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen scored 208 runs out of 287 runs only with fours and sixes. SRH batsmen hit 22 sixes in their innings. Hyderabad has made the second highest total with the help of boundaries in IPL history. RCB had scored 210 runs from the boundary against Pune Warriors.

Dinesh Karthik tried his best to give RCB an impossible win but he was out in the 19th over. However, he played a fighting inning of 83 runs on 35 balls. Natarajan got him caught by wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen. Karthik’s innings included 5 fours and 7 sixes.

Four bowlers of RCB scored fifty

RCB bowlers were badly embarrassed on their own home ground. Four bowlers of the team completed half-centuries. Reece Topley gave away 68 runs in 4 overs. Whereas, Yash Dayal spent 51 runs in 4 overs. Lockie Ferguson did take 2 wickets, but gave away 52 runs. At the same time, Vijaykumar Vaishak also spent 64 runs in 4 overs. This is the first time in IPL, when four bowlers of any team have crossed the fifty mark.

SRH might’ve won the match but Dinesh Karthik definitely deserved that standing ovation

Karthik hit a 108-meter-long six

Dinesh Karthik hit a 108-meter-long six in the 16th over. He hit a six towards deep square leg on the first ball of Natarajan’s over. This six was 108 meters long.
