Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google’s parent company Alphabet, has been awarded the Padma Bhushan. This honor was given to him by India’s Ambassador to America, Taranjit Singh Sandhu. He was given the Padma Bhushan for 2022 in the Trade and Industry category. On being honored, Pichai said – India is a part of me. I take it with me wherever I go.
Madurai-born Pichai received the award on Friday in San Francisco in the presence of close family members. Accepting the award from India’s Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Pichai said that I am very grateful to the Government of India and the people of India for this immense honor.
