Chakraborty, who made his Hindi film debut with Siva, started his OTT innings with the Taaza Khabar web series and is now making his OTT debut in the Telugu language with the Daya web series.
What is the story of the Daya series?
Daya is a freezer van driver who is demure. Lives with his wife Elivelu in a village near Kakinada Port. He is helped by his friend Prabha, who is like a brother to him. His life takes a turn when the body of a young woman is found in his freezer van. Before he can do anything, an unknown person starts blackmailing him. Daya does not want to involve the police.
When will the Daya series stream?
Daya series will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from August 4 in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, and Hindi languages. JD said about the series-
The series is very special for me as it is my debut in Telugu. Its concept impressed me at first sight. It is not something that comes to you every day. It was not just the script, but the moments in the middle of the story that inspired me to do it. Only a great director can bring these moments.
