Fire At Maha Kumbh: Prayagraj: A fire erupted today at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, prompting a swift response from multiple fire engines. The blaze broke out in Sector 18 of Maha Kumbh Nagar, where firefighters are working to contain the situation.

Authorities have confirmed that no casualties have been reported(Fire At Maha Kumbh).

“A fire broke out at a camp near Tulsi Chauraha on Old GT Road. Firefighters have managed to bring the flames under control,” said Inspector Yogesh Chaturvedi of Khak Chowk police station, as reported by PTI.

The Maha Kumbh, a grand spiritual gathering, has already witnessed a massive turnout, with over 397.4 . According to the Uttar Pradesh government,n devotees taking a holy dip took confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati, according to therime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in the ritual bath.

This fire incident follows a similar event last week when 15 tents caught fire at Chatnag Ghat. While no lives were lost, investigations later revealed that the affected tents were unauthorized.

In a separate tragic event on January 29, a stampede at Maha Kumbh claimed 30 lives and left 60 others injured. In response, the UP government announced a compensation of ₹25 lakh for the families of the deceased. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a judicial probe, with a committee set to submit its findings within a stipulated timeframe.

Another Fire Incident at Maha Kumbh Mela; Authorities Act Swiftly

The Maha Kumbh commenced on January 13 and will conclude on February 26. Devotees still have two upcoming opportunities for ritual baths: Maghi Purnima on February 12 and Maha Shivaratri on February 26.
