The video of the incident quickly gained widespread attention after being posted online, prompting Haris Rauf to clarify the situation.
“I initially chose not to bring this to social media, but now that the video is out, I feel it’s necessary to address the matter,” Rauf stated.
“As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. People have the right to support or criticize us. However, when it comes to my parents and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly.
“It’s crucial to show respect towards individuals and their families, regardless of their profession,” Harish Rauf tweeted.

Pakistan started their campaign with a narrow loss to co-hosts USA on June 6, falling short by 5 runs. They then faced a 6-run defeat against arch-rivals India on June 9. It wasn’t enough to advance despite winning their last two matches against Canada and Ireland.
Adding to their woes, Haris Rauf faced allegations of ball tampering from Rusty Theron, a former South African cricketer now playing for the USA team.
The Super 8 T20 World Cup 2024 stage kicks off tomorrow (June 19) with an opening match between the USA and South Africa at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua and Barbuda.
