England’s batting order was a flop
Earlier, after losing the toss and coming to bat, only Joe Root from England could stand against the New Zealand bowlers. Root batted well and played a strong inning of 77 runs. Whereas, captain Jos Buttler scored 43 runs. However, apart from these two, no English batsman could show anything special. While Jonny Bairstow and Harry Brook failed to take advantage of the good start, Moeen Ali and Livingston also disappointed.
